Our gymnasiums will offer much versatility with programming options in basketball, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, archery, and more. We can offer kids wellness camps by starting in the kitchen with nutrition classes then move to the gymnasiums to get the heart rate up to help them enjoy physical activity. Start with two gymnasiums in phase I and a third to be added in a future phase. Additional community tournaments can happen here!
Winter skills and drills for football, baseball, soccer and golf! Will offer flag football, track and field, whiffle ball leagues, batting cages and athletic camps. Maybe we will look at an ultimate frisbee league! Yard games for large gatherings are a must! Turf to be used all months of the year!
Offering a unique, one of-a-kind experience this indoor play park provides our community with a new tourist destination. Families will travel to bring their children here because it will offer a unique experience not provided elsewhere in the Midwest. Access to the park will be included in all memberships and available during open hours of the facility. Rooms will be available to host birthday parties!
We are proposing that the lobby of this facility be open to the public for meeting and gathering. Currently we do not have any areas in town comparable to what’s being proposed. The lobby will be open and provides access to the different areas of the facility but is still acoustically separated from the other spaces. It is our goal to make this an inviting atmosphere that people enjoy being a part of.
Time for upgraded services, expanded activities and a new kind of gathering space for our older population: introducing The 1901 Club! The 1901 Club will be operated under the direction of Southeast Senior Services. Southeast Senior Services has been providing services to older adults throughout Richland County since 1976. By reinventing our space and services to accommodate older adults, we will be better able to keep up with the ever-changing needs and wants of the aging population.
The community room is a vision of unlimited classes, sessions and a space for endless possibilities. Allow your mind to be creative as to what might happen in this space. It will used as a dining area for the 1901 club during the weekdays and has the ability to chameleon into arts/crafts events and classes, chess tournaments, flower bouquet making classes, cooking classes from an area chef, and Mom and me cupcake bake & eat classes.
Through rain, snow or extreme heat, we want all ages to have a safe, comfortable walk space to keep up that active lifestyle. Enjoy this elevated walking path while overlooking the gymnasiums and play park as the kids stay active below. Maybe your kids or grandkids want to join you for a lap or two!
Grab a friend and get healthy! Group fitness classes will be offered! It is our goal that this facility provide a variety of group fitness options for its members. From hardcore fitness to relaxation and toning, we hope to have options for all to choose from.
Memberships for the whole family! Weights and cardio will be available! Finding time for yourself as a parent can be hard when you are focusing on your family. The proposed rec center will have a small area for you to enjoy cardio and weight machines while your children are engaged in other programming within the facility. Take advantage of some free time while making sure you keep your mental and physical health top priority because YOU deserve it!
Need someone to watch your child while you attend a fitness class? This is for you!
We heard you! Competition pool and play center coming in a future phase.
Outdoor water fun coming in a future phase.
